Thursday 08.05.08:
Arrival day, Congress Information Material is handed out at the
check-in counter.
Organizers Anna & Preben arrive the night before and can be contacted on
mobile +45 4050 4940.MC Members only:
2 - 5:30 p.m. Management Committee Meeting including a light lunch,
drinks and coffee.
The MC spouses and other early arrivals are welcome to join Anna for a
private visit to Sant Joan Despi or Barcelona sites.
All participants:
6 p.m. Departure by taxis for the Get-together evening downtown: A
Spanish Cooking Class!
Learn to cook, and then feast on a 3 course Spanish Meal! A local will
guide you through
how to make Paella, Gazpacho, Tapas, enjoying a few glasses of your own
made Sangria.
Take a bike-ride to the beach if you like, and watch the sunset. Taxis
home by midnight.
Individuals may want to meet at the “Kitchen”: Travel Bar, Colom 11,
and/or stay in
town and take a taxi home later.
(Please note, that due to lack of participation the
ladies Spa & beauty treatment is cancelled. If you want individual
treatment, please call the ISO Secretariat).
Friday 09.05.08:
Breakfast.
9 a.m. Bus departure altogether. On the way time for ½ hour walk in the
famous Gaudi Parc Güell.
11:30 Arrival at dSHOP factory/DISME Group in Sabadell (see photo). One of the (if not the) largest and modern display and shop fixture manufacturers in Spain. www.dshop.es.
13:00 Lunch at VIENA, the nearby World famous sandwich restaurant in
Castellor, recommended as a “must” by a leading New York travel gourmet.
Outlet Center La Roca Village, with over hundred outlet brand stores.
Look at the fixtures and interior environments, go shopping for the
bargains, or prepare yourself to enjoy the Torres visit in the wine bar.
Going back, there’s, time for a photo-tour round the impressive
never-ending construction site of La Sagrada Familia.
……. Drop off in City for the energetic, time for a walk at la Rambla,
watch World famous
architecture and famous stores on Passeig Gracía, Nespresso, Vincon,
Casa Amattler, etc,
……. or stay in the bus for the tired, home by 6 p.m.
8:30 p.m. bus departure from the Hotel and/or:
9:00 p.m. Dinner at the restaurant leXatel on mount Montjüic.
(Fish main course, please call the secretariat for special
requirements).
After dinner, if time. Watch the famous Font Màgica, the fountain in
front of the Royal National Palace below the mountain, take a walk,
and/or Taxis home.
Saturday 10.05.08:
Breakfast.
9 a.m. Delegates: ISO Annual General Meeting at the Hotel.
Economic review of the Shopfitting Industry in the member countries,
incl. Australia.
Address by Ms. Meritxell Carrera, sales director of dShop, shopfitting
and trends in Spain.
Business theme International trends and: Is the market up or down in
2008-9?
Member meeting.
9 a.m. Spouses bus departure:
Barcelona sightseeing bus departure. Guided City walk, Cathedral, La
Pedrera,
La Rambla (La Boqueria Market), Passeig de Gràcia, Born, St. Maria
del Mar, or?
It’s a great City!
1 p.m. Bus pick-up, departure via Hotel.
2 p.m. Lunch "in a typical local restaurant JORDI (St. George) in the
famous Penedés wine district. 4 p.m. Guided tour and wine tasting at the
Miguel Torres Winery, Spain's largest.
...... Return to the Hotel and/or town."
9 p.m. Gala evening dinner & dance, entertainment etc. at the Congress Hotel to 1 a.m.
Sunday 11.05.08:
Breakfast, check-out and/or individual programmes.
